Anna and Katherine's 2019 Holiday Gift Guide!

IMG_2049.JPG

Every year, we like to share some of our favorite art supplies, toys and creative gifts (see last year’s gift guide here). Anna and Katherine’s kids (ages 2, 4, 6 and 8) are getting these for Christmas (Shhh….don’t tell!). All of these products are a low price point under $30 and are perfect for kids of various ages. Hopefully this Gift Guide is helpful! All of these products are sold in our studio.

Magnatiles Stardust

Magnatiles are one of the few toys that our kids never seem to grow tired. We like to give our kids a few more each year to grow their collection. This year, we’ve added Magnatiles Stardust to our studio. The tiles are sparkly and have mirrors. They are magnetic and compatible with original Magnatiles (which are still one of our favorites!).

Ooly Switcheroo Markers

Ooly is a new brand we just started carrying in the studio. These markers have been a hit with kids of all ages and adults. One side features a chiseled tip for thick and then lines. The other side has a “magic” tip that changes the color.

Plus Plus Blocks

Plus Plus blocks are back on our list again this year because we have tons of new colors! If your child likes Legos, then they’ll love Plus Plus blocks. They have a simple shape for building 2D and 3D shapes and will keep your kids busy. We’ve heard some customers describe these as their kids’ “restaurant toy.” They come in fun pastel and neon colors. Have a child younger than 3? Try the larger sized Plus Plus set!

Ooly Pixie Paste

Another product by Ooly! Pixie paste is essentially like a glitter glue, but comes in a fun little jar with a brush. It is a perfect way to let kids use glitter and sparkles at home without all the mess! Comes in 5 different colors/themes.

Play Dirt and Toy Bugs

Most of our kids and customers know and love our Sands Alive kinetic sand table. Play dirt is similar to the sand but is dark in color so it looks like dirt. It does not dry out and is great for sensory play. Kids love when we put toys in the kinetic sand. We found these bugs and snakes from Melissa and Doug that are perfect for the play dirt. We like them because they do not present as much of a choking hazard as many of the toy bugs around do. For this reason, Katherine is getting them for her 2 and 4 year olds!

Stik-A-Mals

Squigz have always been an Art Project studio favorite. We’ve recently discovered Stik-A-Mals, a great companion to the Squigz. They are perfect for car trips and bathtime. And at just $1.50 a piece they are an easy pick me up and a great stocking stuffer!
